Supervisor
Full-Time | Charters Bar | Oaka Group | Peterborough
Charters is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bar Supervisor to support our management team in one of Peterborough's busiest pub and live music venues.
You'll be responsible for leading shifts, supporting the team and ensuring every customer receives excellent service while maintaining the high standards Charters is known for.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise the day-to-day running of busy bar shifts
· Open and close the venue and manage smooth service
· Lead, motivate and support bar staff and glass collectors
· Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer queries
· Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness and presentation
· Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
· Handle tills, cash procedures and daily reporting
· Assist with staff training and maintaining company standards
· Assist with rotas, timesheets, and team organisation
· Ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures are followed
· Support live music events, functions and busy seasonal trading
Requirements
- Previous supervisory or senior bar experience in hospitality
- Confident leading a team during busy service
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of stock control, cash handling, and service standards
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
- Passion for hospitality, live music and delivering memorable customer experiences
