Full job description

Location: Peterborough
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Technician to join our busy Peterborough operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience in commercial vehicle, HGV, trailer or bodyshop repairs to become part of a professional and growing team.

You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and refurbishing commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
Repair or replace damaged body panels and components.
Carry out welding, fabrication and sheet-metal repairs.
Prepare vehicles and components for painting and refinishing.
Complete quality inspections on finished work.
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure repairs are completed on time and to company standards.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience within a commercial vehicle, HGV, trailer or vehicle body repair environment.
Experience of welding and fabrication techniques, including MIG welding.
Strong practical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to quality workmanship and health & safety standards.
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential where suitable experience can be demonstrated.
