We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Literacy and Library Catch up Support Assistant to join our friendly team here at City of Peterborough Academy.
This role is central to improving literacy outcomes across the academy and ensuring students who require additional support can make progress.
Working closely with theLiteracy Lead you will help deliver targeted literacy interventions, support reading development, and contribute to a vibrant, purposeful library environment. In this role you will:
- Deliver small‑group catch‑up sessions

Support students with reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary development

Plan and prepare resources to close learning gaps

Track and monitor student progress

Support teachers with literacy strategies
- Take ownership and responsibility of the Academy library, including supporting students during library sessions

Promote reading for pleasure and engagement with the library

Help maintain an organised, welcoming library space
