The store is based in the village of Glinton and the post code is PE6 7LS.
What you’ll be doing:
- This is a mixed role serving customers in the shop as well as operating a post office.
- You'll have a variety of roles, from serving customers at both the post office and the convenience store, restocking shelves, taking in deliveries or re-merchandising displays to make them as appealing as possible for our customers.
- We are at the centre of our community, you’ll get to know many of our regular customers on first name terms.
- Preparing hot and cold food for bake off
We expect candidates to be
- available to work evenings (until 8pm) and weekends.
- comfortable working on a touch screen till
- over 18 (As we sell age restricted products such as alcohol)
- able to commute to and from the store with own transportation (our shifts are outside the bus operating times.
- enthusiastic about the role and have a good attention to detail.
Putting out deliveries quickly and efficiently will be a big part of the job and can be quite physically demanding.
The post office require a CRB and credit check, which any job offer will be subject to to be passing.
The interview will involve a small trial on the shop floor and on the till, as well as a observation of the post office.
While no previous experience is necessary, candidates will need to display intuitive thinking when learning new tasks such as operating the post office.
This is a Permanent Position.

Shifts include weekends, and are either 7am to 1pm or 1pm to 8pm. Candidates will be required to work both (not on the same day).
