4 on 4 off permanent nights, 6pm to 6am

Nights Cleaning Operative

Location – Crown, Peterborough PE2 7LB

As a Cleaning Operative with Sodexo at Crown, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site. You'll help ensure high standards of cleanliness while delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.

What you’ll do:

Carry out routine cleaning duties in accordance with work schedules
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout your designated areas
Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately
Replenish consumables including soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
Use cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines
Display safety signage and wear appropriate PPE when carrying out cleaning activities
Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests as required
Report health & safety concerns, maintenance issues, accidents, or near misses promptly
Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and client employees to deliver an excellent service

What you’ll bring:

Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A positive, professional, and flexible attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Basic literacy and ability to follow instructions and procedures
Understanding of health & safety responsibilities within the workplace
Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties, including moving light equipment and prolonged periods of activity
