Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for creating exceptional dishes, demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, and have experience with commercial driving and operating excavators. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity and technical skills are highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen equipment, and supporting the overall culinary operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and specialised appliances
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of kitchen machinery using mechanical knowledge
Operate excavators for any necessary site or kitchen-related construction or renovation tasks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Qualifications

Proven experience as a professional Chef in a commercial setting
Strong mechanical knowledge related to kitchen equipment and machinery
Experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
