Early Years Educator – Room Leader
Working Hours
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6:00pm
- Operating 51 weeks per year
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Educator to join our team as a Room Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a room supporting children aged 2–5 years in a nurturing, child-centred environment where outdoor learning and hands-on experiences are at the heart of everything we do.
Our nursery is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and offers a truly exceptional learning environment. Located on our own working farm and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with breathtaking views across the South Downs National Park, children benefit from extensive outdoor opportunities, access to our Forest School site, and daily interactions with our farm animals, including our resident chickens.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team within your designated room
- Fulfil Key Person responsibilities and build positive partnerships with children and their families
- Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework and Reggio Emilia principles
- Encourage children's development through play, discovery, exploration, and outdoor learning
- Monitor, assess, and record children's progress, identifying and responding to any additional needs
- Maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where children can thrive
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive and supportive team culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years Education (essential)
- Experience working with children aged 2–5 years
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within an early years setting
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for outdoor education and child-led learning
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
Important Information
All applicants must hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.

Pay: £29,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
