Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are highly valued.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations
Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, directing queries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the system
Handle administrative tasks such as processing payments, issuing receipts, and managing correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and organised at all times
Support clinical staff with administrative duties as required, including filing and data entry

Skills

Proven office experience with a strong understanding of administrative procedures
Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting is advantageous but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly demeanour
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or similar programmes
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
Organised, reliable, and able to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
