Who are we? Jos Richardson & Son Group Ltd run forecourt and convenience stores across Yorkshire and have been operating for over 130 years. It’s a great time to join us as our company continues to grow and flourish with further investment in our estate, including the multi-million pound investment in our new site at Eden Service Station, Old Malton ! Built from scratch, this site has now served the local community and passing motorists for just over a year - establishing itself as a destination after just 1 year. What does the role involve? Working alongside the other Assistant Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Site Manager and Area Manager, you will have joint responsibility for the running of a very busy Forecourt and Convenience Store, newly established at the A64 / A169 intersection at Old Malton, just 1 mile from Malton - The Food Capital of Yorkshire .
What do we expect?
· Managing, motivating and developing an effective team
· To take personal responsibility for your duties and the performance of your team
· To instill exceptional customer service standards within the team
· Setting, achieving and maintaining exceptional operating standards
· Ensuring full adherence to relevant legislation including Health & Safety Standards, Food Hygiene and Age Restricted Sales
· Growing sales and controlling KPIs effectively to ensure targets are achieved
· Ensuring stock management is controlled.
· Ordering for dry and wet stock.
· Security and cashing up daily takings
· Day to day duties include managing rotas, cashing up and merchandising the store
· To build trust and confidence with customers and colleagues
What do we need from you?
· Management and retail experience is a must
· A positive attitude with exceptional communication and people-management skills
· Excellent customer service record
· An understanding of Health and safety and due diligence
Don't worry if you have never worked in the fuel or convenience sector before - full training is provided.

Please note, this site operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - typically you will be working between 6am and 10pm, however, there may be a need for occasional overnight working.
