About the Role
D Horne Services Ltd is seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to support civils, groundworks, utilities and forestry operations across South‑West Scotland, the Central Belt and Dumfries & Galloway. This role is suited to a reliable, skilled operator with strong practical experience and pride in delivering high‑quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of 360 excavators on a range of civils and groundworks projects
- Supporting drainage, ducting, foundations, reinstatement and utility installation
- Working around live services and following site drawings and instructions
- Assisting with general groundworks when required
- Daily plant checks, basic maintenance and defect reporting
- Working within RAMS, site safety rules and company procedures
- Collaborating with site teams to meet deadlines and project specifications
- Maintaining a tidy, safe work area at all times
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators
- Valid NPORS or CPCS excavator ticket
- Strong background in civils, groundworks or utilities
- Good understanding of health & safety and safe digging practices
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable plan to commute to Pinmore and travel to sites
- Right to work in the UK
- Two recent work references
- Willingness to undergo mandatory pre‑employment drug & alcohol testing
Desirable
- Experience in windfarm, forestry or remote‑site operations
- Additional plant tickets (dumper, roller, telehandler, tractor)
- Ability to read and interpret basic site drawings
- Experience with landscaping or reinstatement works

Pay: £16.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pinmore KA26 0HX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
