Your Responsibilities
The Role
- This role is working Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm (alternating weekly), 37.5 hours per week
- The role will be working with our Quality Control Team which operates 24/5

The role is to ensure quality effectiveness so that patient safety and the quality of the product is not compromised
Key Responsibilities
-
To inspect, test and evaluate goods in, components and products throughout the whole production process to identify defects or deviations and ensure they are addressed
-
To help maintain product quality, prevent quality issues from reaching customers/end users/patients

To work according to and promote adherence to GMP and GDP
-
To support production in successfully resolving quality concerns with the minimum disruption to production, including participating in daily meetings; training team members and / or support the training; support quality investigations, reviewing the analysis of defect causes and propose the corrective actions

Provide advice to the site in relation to quality of products and processes, including accept / reject decisions on products

To support NRB meetings by ensuring all suspect products/materials and its specification are ready for NRB discussion. When quality issues is suspected, ensuring the completion the containment actions, accordingly

Actively assist with inspection of products in accordance with quality specifications as required including first offs, in process checks and last off measurement and Inspection

Complete daily and monthly checks relating to patrol inspections; checks within Metrology; product and process audits; Goods Inwards inspections whilst ensuring faults and compliance data is captured

Monitor the process of scrap and NC product and ensure scrap/physical scrap of NC products/materials. Completing certificate of analysis (C of A’s) including traceability to raw material, and evaluating all Olympus customer returns and providing feedback and advice to the relevant teams

Previous experience in this or a similar role
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Able to work on own initiative
- Computer literate
Desirable
- Experience of working with medical devices / clean rooms
- Experience of Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances
- Experience of using Measuring Tools
