Rare & Pasture is a charcuterie producer based in Devon operating a number of industry leading brands. Operating for 5 years the business has grown steadily over that time. We are looking for a member to join our production team working with 3 highly experienced butchers producing a range of world class products from air dried hams to frankfurters.
We are looking for a hard working candidate that takes pride in their work and are looking to be part of growing company with excellent job progression. The job does not require specific previous experience, but some experience in a food production or butchery would be highly advantageous. An enthusiasm to learn new processes and to cope flexibly with quickly changing situations is important.
While usually your tasks will be defined by your supervisor, especially during times when you are providing cover you will need to be able to work responsibly under your own supervision.
The main tasks of the job are:
– processing raw materials in a clean and safe manner following relevant training
– willingness to learn new skills in a niche but growing industry
– involvement in all aspects of charcuterie making including cleaning and human safety
Required knowledge and skills
– Proven track record of punctuality and professionalism within a work environment
– Ability to co-operate successfully with fellow staff at all levels
– Experience in in a food production is desirable but not required. All training will be provided in house.
– Willingness to adapt to a changing role and duties
