Mobile Plant Operators
Location: Hemerdon Mine, Plymouth, Devon (PL7 5BS)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: £15–£21 per hour (DOE) + 12.5% shift premium
Shift Pattern: 6 Morning (6:30am–2:30pm) / 6 Afternoon (2:30pm–10:00pm) / 6 Off

Tungsten West is restarting the world-class Hemerdon Tungsten-Tin Mine in South Devon and is looking for experienced Mobile Plant Operators to support site operations across a range of civil and mining activities.
This is a great opportunity for operators who enjoy working outdoors, operating heavy plant, and being part of a major UK mining project.
** This role requires you to pass a Drug and Alcohol test on day one **

About the Role
You will operate a range of mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently while supporting site operations, materials movement and general earthworks across the mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant including:
- Excavators
- Dumpers
- Rollers
- Telehandlers
- Support site operations, material movement and general duties.
- Carry out daily machine inspections and report defects.
- Follow RAMS, site rules and safety procedures at all times.
- Work closely with supervisors and site teams to support production.
- Maintain accurate records and equipment logs.
What We're Looking For
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card (relevant plant categories)
- Experience operating mobile plant in construction, civils or mining environments
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, reliable and proactive attitude
Additional Requirements
- Based at Hemerdon Mine (10 miles from Plymouth)
- Own transport essential (no public transport access)
