We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a professional and friendly environment.
You should have an eye for detail, a 5* approach and have a team focused attitude. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, including our Hotel Rooms, Apartments and Villas including Guest Areas. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and an eye for detail to ensure that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas which include guest rooms, apartments and villas
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel if spotted when cleaning.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by responding promptly to guest requests.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures to ensure consistency in service delivery.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Be able to deliver a great standard of cleanliness for all our guests.
- Great attention to detail and works well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas in accordance with company standards
- Change bed linen, towels and replenish amenities as required
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces and ensure all areas are spotless.
- Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with laundry duties when necessary
- Ensure all work areas are kept organised and presentable at all times.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail is essential for this role.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends.
