Our Head Office is based on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford, employing over 57 colleagues across extrusion, printing, and slitting operations. In 2021, we expanded with the acquisition of our second manufacturing site at Baglan Energy Park, Port Talbot, where more than 56 employees operate multiple extrusion lines and conversion facilities.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Extrusion Operator to join our team at our Port Talbot manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Extrusion Day Supervisor, you will play a key role in producing high-quality low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film to meet customer specifications. Working as part of an experienced production team, you will help ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
· Complete all company production recording documents / paperwork.
· Carry out basic QA checks (dimensions).
· Log and summarise basic QA checks.
· Use correct safety equipment / PPE.
· Fill all extrusion polymer bins and additive bins.
· Maintain general housekeeping and hygiene at all times.
· Web up extrusion lines and equipment.
· Comply with company scrap procedure at all times.
· Be able to use manual and powered Pallet Trucks in a safe manner
· Follow packing procedure against works order (correct pallet, correct core, correct stacking).
· Change parent reels.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A safety and quality focused individual who takes pride in their work with the ability to use their own initiative and has good organisational skills
- Excellent communication & numerical skills
- Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment whilst still maintaining standards set within the business
- Good attendance and time keeping
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be beneficial.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
