We are looking to recruit a full time skilled Handyperson/Multi-skilled tradesperson for a permanent position for immediate start to join our team based in Normanton. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills to undertake various maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across multiple disciplines whilst making sure safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Plumbing - Repairs such as leak fixing, pipework, and fixture installation
- Electrical -Including wiring and fixture installation
- Painting - Painting projects both interior and exterior
- Repairs and Maintenance - Installing doors, stud walling, general joinery tasks, oil and greasing, filter cleaning and replacement
- Masonry work - Brickwork, cement and surface repairs
- Any other additional duties
Skills required:
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, and electrical work
- Proficient with hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers, chisels
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, grinders, saws, and sanders
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs and maintenance
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Physically fit with the capability to perform manual labour in various environments
- Strong attention to detail ensuring quality workmanship across all tasks
- Forklift license (would be advantageous)
Salary: £31,200 per annum
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 08.30am - 16.30pm (includes 1 x 30 minute unpaid break)
