We are the team behind In It Together Festival and Together Again Festival, two of the UK's leading independent festivals. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and organised Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team.
This is a varied role within a fast-paced events business, supporting multiple festivals and helping to ensure our finances run smoothly throughout the year.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business. You'll help maintain accurate financial records, support month-end processes and work closely with the wider finance team.
The role is based at our Newport office, with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Completing daily and weekly bank reconciliations.
- Reconciling ticketing platforms, payment providers and merchant accounts.
- Processing staff expenses and company credit card reconciliations.
- Supporting payroll processing.
- Assisting with month-end reporting and management accounts.
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and external accountants.
- Ensuring financial records are accurate, compliant and up to date.
- Providing finance support during busy event and festival periods.
About You
You will be organised, reliable and able to manage your workload effectively. You will have a strong eye for detail and enjoy working in a busy environment.
Essential
- At least three years' bookkeeping experience.
- Good knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- AAT Level 3 or higher
- Experience working with multiple companies.
- Payroll experience.
- Previous experience within the events or hospitality sector.
