Legal Conveyancing Assistant
Location: Newport, South Wales
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

Join Our Growing Team

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the legal industry? We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our friendly Conveyancing team as a Legal Conveyancing Assistant.

No previous conveyancing experience is required. If you're eager to learn, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you. Full training will be provided.

About the Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you'll support our experienced conveyancers with the day-to-day running of residential property transactions, helping clients move home as smoothly as possible.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the conveyancing team with administrative tasks.
Speaking with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and solicitors via telephone and email.
Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
Opening new client files and carrying out compliance checks.
Requesting searches and other documentation.
Updating our case management system.
Keeping clients informed throughout their transaction.
General office administration and supporting the wider team.

What We're Looking For

We don't expect you to know conveyancing, we'll teach you that. We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, professional and approachable.
Organised with excellent attention to detail.
A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
Able to prioritise tasks and work in a busy environment.
Keen to learn and develop a long-term career within the legal sector.
A positive team player with a proactive attitude.

Desirable (but not essential)

Previous office, administration or customer service experience.
GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
An interest in law or the property industry.
