Full job description

We have fantastic opportunity for a Full time Receptionist to join our 4- Star Hotel in Pontyclun! Earning up to £12.80 per hour.

We are seeking a reliable person to join our team as a full time receptionist. As the first point of contact for the hotel, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and possess strong administrative abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
Provide information to callers and guests about the hotel and its services
Taking room, restaurant & tRiBe spa reservations by telephone and email.
Preparing any outstanding room accounts and dealing with payments.
Actively upselling hotel products and services.
Creating bedroom reservations, amendments and cancellations in Guestline Rezlynx PMS reservations system.
Complete daily arrival check
Maximise revenue through up-selling and cross-selling all hotels products & services.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area
Perform data entry tasks, including updating guest information in our database
Assist with general administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents

Shift Patterns:

Morning Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Night Shift (Holiday Cover): 10:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar post and will have worked with Guestline Rezlynx PMS preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Excellent IT skills.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
A friendly and professional telephone manner.
A team player.
The ability to stay calm under pressure and look after several tasks at once.
Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
