Cardiff and Vale College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Lecturer to join our successful A Levels team.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners through engaging and high-quality teaching, helping them develop a strong understanding of History whilst achieving their academic goals. Working within a supportive and ambitious department, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding learning experience and supporting learners to fulfil their potential.
You will deliver high-quality A Level History lessons, planning engaging learning activities and assessing learner progress to support achievement and progression. You will create an inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking and academic success.
The role includes lesson preparation, marking, assessment and tutorial support, alongside maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to curriculum development activities. You will also support wider departmental initiatives, participate in quality improvement activities and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure positive learner outcomes.
You may also contribute to the delivery of personal tutorials, study skills, the Extended Project Qualification and other learner support activities as required.
You will be passionate about History and committed to delivering an exceptional learner experience.
You will hold a relevant degree and either possess a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. You will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage learners from a range of backgrounds.
