Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for clients by delivering personalised care with professionalism and empathy. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity within their home environment
Follow personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Help with household tasks including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in the client's condition
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred for assisting with transportation needs
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication
Basic IT skills for documenting care activities and updating records
Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are essential qualities for success in this role
