Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst
Role Overview
Safer Group are a dynamic well established and rapidly growing technology focused security business, with strong capabilities in the development of security systems for temporary and remote sites. We work with some the biggest names in construction, rail and civil engineering to secure their flagship projects from initiation to closure.
We are seeking a capable and proactive Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to play a central role in the Safer Group Security Operations Centre. The successful candidate will contribute to the 24x7x365 monitoring, assessment, and response to security and emergency incident alarms across our client portfolio, using established protocols, operational judgement, and protective controls to turn information into timely action. At the core of this role is the protection of client assets, vacant properties, people, and facilities. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for assessing alarm events, escalating security and emergency incidents where required, coordinating appropriate responses, and ensuring all activity is accurately recorded and managed in line with agreed procedures.
This role requires a vigilant, disciplined, and customer-focused individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced SOC environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, project stakeholders, and third-party partners to maintain high standards of service delivery, incident management, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitoring, response and analysis of physical access control and video management systems
· Security and emergency incident response – assessing, escalating and resolving.
· Intelligence gathering and reporting
· Trouble ticketing – creating, triaging, assigning, escalating
· Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures.
· Working onsite within a 24x7x365 SOC
Required Experience
· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail, to identify the abnormal from the normal
· Computer literacy and the ability to learn new software applications.
· Experience in communicating clearly with stakeholders and cross functional teams
Desirable Experience
· Experience with access control and video surveillance systems such as Sentinel, Lenel, Genetec or similar – desirable but not essential
· Experience working in a SOC, Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) or Control Room environment
· Experience in Physical Security Operations Centre monitoring and response
Qualifications
· A current active Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), is essential for this role. However, if you do not currently hold this licence; you must be willing to obtain it within three months of commencing employment.
Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
