Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role involves supporting the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, and assisting in their developmental growth.

Driver position is for 25 year old and over.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education principles.
Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and encouraging positive social interactions.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community within the nursery.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices, ensuring a clean and organised environment.
Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining records of each child's progress and development.
Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Leadership qualities to inspire and guide children during activities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
A genuine passion for childcare, with an understanding of the developmental needs of young children.
