Chiropractic Assistant (Full-Time) — Reception & Admin
Portsmouth, UK | Full-time (includes evenings)
£12.50 – £14.00 per hour (based on experience)
Start date: ASAP

We're a Gonstead-based Chiropractic clinic in Portsmouth, known for our thorough assessments and personalised care. We’re growing fast, and every member of our team plays a vital role in shaping the patient experience — from the very first point of contact.

The Role

We’re looking for a confident, friendly, and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant to run the front desk and support our day-to-day operations.
This isn’t a clinical position — it’s a reception and admin role at the heart of a busy, patient-focused practice.

You’ll be the welcoming face patients see at every visit, and the person making sure everything runs like clockwork behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Greeting and checking in patients with warmth and professionalism
Managing bookings, cancellations, and follow-ups (in person, by phone, and email)
Taking payments and issuing receipts/invoices
Monitoring the patient flow and keeping the schedule running smoothly and efficientely
Handling admin tasks like emails, spreadsheets, clinic stock, and daily prep
Keeping accurate patient records
Supporting the Chiropractor so the day stays on track
Attending weekly training

Multitasking and attention to detail are absolutely essential — you’ll need to keep calm, organised, and focused even when it’s busy.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a front desk, admin, or customer service role (healthcare setting preferred but not required)
A natural multitasker who thrives on structure and staying one step ahead
Strong attention to detail — especially with bookings, names, payments, and communication
A warm, professional presence both in person and over the phone
Comfortable using digital tools like booking software, spreadsheets, and email
Someone who takes ownership, works well independently, and genuinely cares about doing things properly
A long-term mindset — someone who wants to grow with us, not just fill a gap

This Role Might Be Perfect If:

You’re a receptionist or administrator who takes pride in doing things well
You’ve worked in dental, optical, or medical reception and want a fresh challenge
You love helping people and being part of a small, focused team
You’re passionate about health and wellness — and want to be part of something meaningful

Hours

Tuesday: 8:15am – 7:45pm
Wednesday & Thursday: 10:45am – 7:15pm
Friday: 8:15am – 4:45pm
Saturday: 8:45am - 2:15pm

Please note: As our clinic continues to grow, shift patterns and clinic hours may change. We’ll always communicate changes in advance, and there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility as the clinic expands.
