What we are looking for
We seek to recruit an experienced sales professional with a background in Freight Forwarding? Due to continued expansion, InXpress is now seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Representative/ Business Development Manager to join their high-performing commercial team.
We are a leading provider of shipping solutions and offer a wide range of services to our clients.
We are ideally looking for someone who is organised, keen to learn new skills, good at identifying and screening prospects along with a hardworking nature, positive attitude and ability to prioritise their own workload.
Responsibilities:
· Generating and developing new business opportunities across air, sea, and road freight.
· Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to onboarding.
· Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
· Conducting client meetings both virtually and face-to-face.
· Preparing quotations, proposals, and tailored logistics solutions.
· Negotiating commercial agreements and rates.
· Achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets and KPIs.
· Maintaining accurate records through CRM systems.
· Promote and sell the services and benefits of InXpress to prospects.
· Keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity.
Working closely with operational teams to ensure smooth customer implementation.
Requirements:
· Proven business development experience within freight forwarding or logistics.
· Strong knowledge of air freight, sea freight, and/or road freight solutions.
· A track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability.
· Self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
· Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Proactive and confident approach to sales.
· Friendly and outgoing personality.
· Can-do attitude with a drive for success.
