Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Production Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading the production process by owning and organising the production schedule along with various tasks related to the manufacturing of our products. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Lead the manufacturing of our craft cider products, this is including but not limited to mechanical equipment and manual operations
- Expierence essential with handling of Substances Hazardous to health
- Experience in Canning processes and machines
- Experience in Bottling achines ad process
- Ability to work with DO, Yeast counts, Ingredient tetsing, recipe creation, CO2 / Carbonation levels.
- Fork Lift License welcomes
- Manual handling is necessary
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain an organised work area, ensuring that tools and materials are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to mechanical knowledge and equipment handling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Brewing, Distilling or Cider making required - Will consider academically experience for an entry level position
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Good physical fitness, as the role may require lifting and standing for extended periods.
- A positive attitude towards learning new skills and processes.
