Full job description

Job Summary
As a Chef at Woodmill Coffee Kitchen, you’ll play a key role in delivering fresh, homemade food to a consistently high standard. Working closely with the Lead Chef as part of our team of four, you’ll help prepare, cook, and present a range of hot dishes, cold dishes, cakes, and pastries, while maintaining excellent kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Chef in the preparation and delivery of our full menu, including hot dishes, cold plates, homemade cakes, sausage rolls, and pastries.
Ensure high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and allergen management at all times.
Help organise daily prep and service flow for maximum efficiency.
Contribute ideas and feedback on menu development and kitchen improvements.
Engage with customers where appropriate to enhance the WCK experience.
Uphold WCK’s commitment to quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have at least 1 year's experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Be passionate about fresh, homemade food and great service.
Have strong attention to detail and a high standard of food presentation.
Be organised, enthusiastic, and comfortable working under pressure.
Hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or be willing to obtain one).
Be available to work weekdays and weekends (WCK opens 7 days a week, 0800–1600 - with occasional shift work on a Friday and Saturday evening when open till 200hrs ).
