Solar Installer-quality Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar power systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Safely install solar panels, mounting systems, and electrical components according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Operate various tools including hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators when necessary.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels and system components.
- Assist with trenching, wiring, and electrical connections to ensure system functionality.
- Perform welding tasks where required for mounting structures or securing components.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot installation issues and adapt procedures as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised work site, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements
- NVQ or AM2
- 2391 (Test and insepction)
- Solar PV qualification
- full UK driving license,
