Responsibilities will include:

Mechanical engineering project oversight for our USSV programs (VICTA)
Management of the specific mechanical engineering project team
Create and develop work breakdown schedules to manage the engineering team to project specific goals and deadlines
Report progress and identify strengths and weaknesses in delivery
Support the Head of Mechanical to provide insight to business strategic vision
Mentor and support the development of Junior Mechanical Engineers
Key reviewer; peer to peer and gate reviews

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 10 years industry experience
Minimum 3 years leading a team
Ability to create and review components, sub-assemblies and General Arrangements in 3D CAD.
Ability to create and review 2D drawings in conjunction with BS8888
Proven experience of working in a fast paced, challenging engineering sector
Proven experience of delivering complex projects
Proven experience of leading a cohesive and effective team
Proven experience of empowering engineers and identifying growth opportunities
Detailed understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes
