Training Delivery Instructor (Electronic Controls & Diagnostic Trainer)

Job Description:

Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week (Monday – Friday) HMS Sultan

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you’ll be doing

Delivering training in Marine Control Systems and Diagnostics
Supporting departmental tasks within your skill set as required
Maintaining and updating training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Assessing student coursework and provide constructive feedback on performance.
Ensuring trainee welfare and progression throughout the training delivery.
Following all security, health, safety, and environmental procedures, while maintaining your own professional development records.

What we’re looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
Proven experience in Electrical and Electronic Engineering principles.

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Level 3 Teaching Qualification / DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion)
Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian engineering environment

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata’d and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
