Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Persons to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving drinks, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment where attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for hospitality and service.

Responsibilities

Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Take orders accurately and process payments using the till system
Ensure all drinks are prepared according to company standards and health & safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Monitor customer behaviour to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-serving
Restock bar supplies as needed, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and other essentials
Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and promote repeat business
Follow food safety standards and organisational policies at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A friendly, professional demeanour with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
