Mechanical Fitter/Welder
E-TTS Ltd is a growing engineering company specialising in MEICA installation, maintenance and refurbishment within the UK water and wastewater industry.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter/Welder to join our team. If you're someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, enjoys varied projects and wants to be part of a company where your skills are genuinely valued, we'd like to hear from you.
Location: Bury (with travel to sites as required)
The Role
Working on clean water and wastewater treatment sites, you'll be involved in a wide range of mechanical installation and maintenance projects, including:
- Mechanical installation of pumps, valves, pipework and process equipment.
- Installation, maintenance and refurbishment of MEICA assets.
- MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel and stainless steel.
- Mechanical repairs, fault finding and equipment replacement.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and site specifications.
- Working safely within operational treatment works and industrial environments.
- Ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, on time and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Working both independently and as part of an experienced team.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a mechanical fitter.
- MIG/TIG preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings.
- Good mechanical knowledge of pumps, pipework, valves and rotating equipment.
- Full UK drivers license.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
- CSCS card essential
Desirable
- Previous experience within the water or wastewater industry.
- EUSR water hygiene card preferred although training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Confined space certificate preferred but training can be provided.
- IPAF and/or PASMA preferred but training can be provided.
- Experience working on MEICA projects.
