About the role

Do you have a strong background in landscape construction, horticulture, or the wider greenspace sector, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others?

Are you someone who values practical, hands-on learning and wants to support students as they develop the technical skills and professional behaviours needed for a successful career?

If so, this could be an exciting opportunity.

We are looking for a Lecturer in Landscape & Horticulture to join our Greenspace and Creative Design team. In this role, you will deliver a combination of practical and classroom-based teaching across a range of landscape and horticulture programmes. You will support students in developing the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required by industry, with teaching covering both hard and soft landscaping, horticultural principles, plant identification and establishment, landscape construction techniques, grounds maintenance, and the safe use of tools, machinery and equipment.

You will help learners gain experience in areas such as paving, walling, fencing, decking, drainage, planting, turf establishment and landscape maintenance, while encouraging high standards of workmanship, sustainability and professionalism.

As part of the role, you will contribute to course planning and management, provide tutorial support, undertake assessment and internal quality assurance activities, and maintain accurate learner records. Working collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners, you will help create an engaging learning environment that prepares students for employment or further study within the landscape and horticulture sectors.

Whether you already have teaching experience or are an experienced landscape or horticulture professional looking to move into education, we will support your development, including providing the opportunity to achieve a recognised teaching qualification if required.
