Full job description

Our busy Skip Hire team is looking for an experienced driver to help with day-to-day deliveries and collections across Preston, Lancaster, the Fylde Coast and villages in between.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience driving and operating a skip wagon is essential
Confident working with minimal supervision
HGV Licence (Class 2)
Valid CPC
Able to follow and adhere to company regulations and health and safety rules.
Able to represent the business in the appropriate manner - maintaining good relations with customers and providing excellent customer service
Have effective time management skills to meet specified delivery timescales and use software to update the office on your progress throughout the day
Highly organised and have the ability to prioritise a changing workload
General maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle, including daily inspections and reporting of defects immediately, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, both internal and external
Take care of the environment while carrying out any duties
Report accidents and near hits on appropriate company forms and as soon as reasonably possible
Have a general knowledge of the local areas
To do other duties as reasonably requested by Management (for which training will be provided as appropriate)

This is a full-time position, hours to be discussed, with flexibility required for early mornings/evenings.

Great opportunity for a permanent contract following a successful probationary period.
