Kingsfold Medical Centre is a single handed GP surgery in Preston. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a NA to join our innovative, forward thinking practice and become an integral part of a diverse clinical team delivering care to our 5400 registered patients. Kingsfold Medical Centre is based in Penwortham, Preston.
Our clinical team currently includes GPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurse, Advanced clinical practitioners, physician Associate and a Social Prescriber. There is a strong team atmosphere and a focus on continuous development throughout the surgery. We have an excellent reputation among our peers. Kingsfold Medical Centre is a high QOF achiever and we have excellent, friendly and highly qualified motivated staff with nurse led Chronic Disease Management Clinics. We are looking for an enthusiastic and autonomous working candidate to join our highly skilled, friendly team.
We have a new exciting opportunity for a Nurse Associate to join our friendly and welcoming team at Kingsfold Medical Centre. Ideally, the successful applicant will work approx. 15 hours per week. (Hours can be negotiated)
Carry out health assessments on newly registered patients e.g. taking bloods, testing urine, blood pressure checks, heights, and weights and taking a simple written medical history.
Carry out partial chronic disease management reviews.
Ensure that the drug fridge is at a correct temperature on a daily basis
Provide phlebotomy services as requested by nursing and medical staff.
Carry out blood pressure checks and report promptly abnormal findings to the nurse/ doctor as per protocol.
Carry out lifestyle advice to patients as requested, follow up as appropriate.
Administer Immunisations according to PGDs.
Carry out ECGs.
Carry out NHS Health checks & Carer Health checks.
INR Testing.
Pill Checks.
Foot Checks.
Achieve QOF and IIF Targets.
Ensure that the clinical rooms are at all times kept in a clean and orderly manner and that relevant equipment is ready for use by nursing and medical staff during clinic sessions.
