Full job description

About Us: At Frozen Computers, we are a small, independent computer repair business dedicated to helping our local community. We specialise in repairing laptops, computers, and gaming equipment, while also handling phones and tablets. Whether we are assisting university students, the general public, or providing our dedicated call-out services, we pride ourselves on delivering friendly, expert support.

The Role: As our Customer Service Apprentice, you will be the main point of contact for our customers, keeping them updated and ensuring the shop runs smoothly. Alongside the customer service elements of your course, we will also be training you in hands-on IT and technician skills, giving you a fantastic foundation in computer repair.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer customer calls and serve as the friendly first point of contact in the shop.
Keep customers up to date on their repair status and ensure our internal records are accurate.
Learn basic IT and technician skills to assist with diagnosing and repairing laptops, PCs, and gaming equipment.
Process orders, take payments, and provide general advice on our services.

Our Hiring Process: To make sure we are the perfect fit for you (and you for us!), we run a three-stage hiring process before the October start date:

Stage 1: Initial Interview.
Stage 2: A 1–2 week work experience/trial period to get you hands-on in the shop.
Stage 3: Final offer and enrolment onto the apprenticeship!

The Apprenticeship (Blackburn College): You will be enrolled in the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship (12 months training + 3 months assessment). You will get dedicated time during your working hours to complete your coursework.

Pay: £8.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ashton-on-Ribble PR2 2NN
