Vacancy Details
The role of Assistant Project Manager is to coordinate the resources necessary to successfully complete projects to the full satisfaction of our customers. You will deliver business objectives efficiently, within budget and to programme, consistent with Company Procedures, good practice, and statutory legislation within our contractual obligations.
You will manage the contract in all aspects of the following items, including but not limited to:
- SHE – Safety, Health and Environment
- Quality
- Budget
- Programme management off-site
- Drawing Office control
- Bought-out components
- Assisting all internal departments involved in the project
You will be required to define project objectives and manage the activities of the team to deliver the project to the required quality, programme and cost, ensuring that any significant deviations or issues are reported to the senior management team.
Key Skills & Experience
You will be a strong and effective communicator, as regular liaison with main contractors, clients and other professionals, as well as in-house departments, is a key part of this role.
At Severfield, safety is paramount and is embedded in all aspects of our work; therefore, an essential part of this role is to ensure the safety compliance of all construction elements under your control.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a construction-related degree (or equivalent), along with relevant construction experience, and previous project management experience within the steelwork industry.
