Accounts Assistant – Job Specification

Company: Allied Lift Services

Location: WA11 8PU

Reporting to: Finance Controller

Role Overview

The Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day financial operations of Allied Lift Services, ensuring accurate processing of purchase and sales ledger activities, maintaining financial records, and assisting with month-end procedures. The role is varied and suited to an organised individual with strong attention to detail and previous accounts experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Input purchase invoices and match against POs and PODs

· Perform supplier statement reconciliations

· Resolve supplier account queries promptly

· Manage the accounts payable inbox

· Raise and process sales invoices

· Input sales invoices onto customer portals

· Assist with credit control

· Check and process weekly timesheets

· Process customer receipts and supplier payments

· Assist with month-end preparation

· Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date

Person Specification

· Previous experience in a similar accounts role

· Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes

· Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

· Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

· Confident using Excel and finance systems

· Professional communication skills

Qualifications

QBE (Qualified by Experience) or AAT qualified

Desirable

Experience using Sage Business Cloud

Career Development

Progression may include AAT Levels 2–4 and further study towards ACCA or CIMA.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
