Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Working Site Foreman / Site Supervisor to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of landscaping and garden refurbishment projects nationwide.
This is a hands-on role requiring regular travel and overnight stays, with approximately 75% of the role spent working away from home on-site and 25% based in the Southport area when required.
The successful candidate will lead installation teams on active projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will work alongside the team on the tools where required, provide day-to-day supervision, monitor progress and quality, and act as the main point of contact on site.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Coordinator, customers, suppliers and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered on programme and to EnviroLawn's expected standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise landscaping, garden refurbishment and external works projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Lead and coordinate Site Operatives and installation teams on site.
- Work hands-on with the team where required to support installation and maintain project progress.
- Provide daily site briefings and allocate tasks to team members.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure all work meets EnviroLawn's quality standards.
- Ensure projects are completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Monitor daily progress and report updates, issues and delays to the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, plant, tools and equipment on site.
- Ensure materials are used efficiently and minimise waste.
- Liaise professionally with customers while on site and provide progress updates where required.
- Identify and resolve practical site issues and operational challenges.
- Manage site teams and ensure appropriate standards of conduct, attendance and productivity.
- Carry out quality checks throughout the project and assist with final snagging.
- Ensure sites are left clean, tidy and ready for customer handover.
- Complete site records, photographs and relevant project documentation.
- Report variations, additional works, material requirements and potential issues promptly.
- Assist with vehicle, equipment and resource coordination across projects.
- Respond effectively to challenges including staffing shortages, vehicle breakdowns, material delays and adverse weather.
- Support the Operations Manager with improving site processes, efficiency and quality.
- Promote excellent customer service and maintain a professional company image at all times.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support, mentor and guide Site Operatives and junior team members.
- Lead by example with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Assist with training and development of installation teams.
- Ensure tools, vehicles, plant and equipment are used safely and maintained appropriately.
- Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and relevant RAMS.
- Assist with project mobilisation and demobilisation.
- Complete site inspections and report any Health & Safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with resolving technical and practical problems during installation.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Site Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar role within landscaping, construction, civil engineering or external works.
- Experience working with artificial grass preferred.
- Experience leading and supervising site teams.
- Strong practical and hands-on skills.
- Ability to work on the tools and lead by example.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements and site procedures.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while keeping management fully informed.
- Competent use of mobile phones and basic digital systems for site communication and reporting.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home for approximately 75% of the role.
Licence / Certification
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) - preferred.
- CSCS Card - preferred.
- NPORS or CPCS certification for Forward Tipping Dumpers - desirable.
- NPORS or CPCS certification for Ride-on Rollers / Compaction Rollers- desirable.
- NPORS or CPCS certification for Telehandlers - desirable.
- First Aid at Work - desirable.
- Landscaping, construction or groundworks-related qualifications - desirable.
- Relevant plant operator experience and competency certificates - advantageous.

Pre-Employment Requirements
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
- Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS with child barring check due to the nature of projects undertaken.
Pay: From £35,000.00 per year

- This is a working Site Foreman role. You will be expected to work alongside the team on the tools when required. Are you comfortable with a hands-on role rather than a purely supervisory position?
- Do you have previous experience installing artificial grass or supervising artificial grass installation projects?
- Do you hold a current NPORS or CPCS qualification/certification for Forward Tipping Dumpers?
- Do you hold a current NPORS or CPCS qualification/certification for Ride-on Rollers / Compaction Rollers?
- Do you hold a current NPORS or CPCS qualification/certification for Telehandlers?
- Do you currently hold a valid SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification?
- Do you currently hold a valid CSCS Card?
