We are seeking an outstanding Dance Lecturer specialising in Jazz & Ballet to join our drama school at our City Centre Campus on a permanent, part time (21 hours per week) basis.
The successful candidate will teach across our Dance & Performance and Musical Theatre degree programmes, delivering high-quality practical dance training that prepares students for the demands of the dance performance industry.
The role will have a particular focus on Jazz and Ballet technique, developing students' technical proficiency, performance quality, artistry, and professional discipline. The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging and progressive classes to students with a range of experience levels, supporting their development as versatile and employable performers.
Applicants should have strong professional and/or teaching experience within dance performance or training, with a passion for nurturing emerging talent in a higher education or conservatoire environment. Experience of choreography, rehearsal directing, or preparing students for performance opportunities would be advantageous.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Degree.
- Current and valid industry specialism.
- Certificate of education or PGCE.
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
- Significant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.
- Working as a team.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Meet delivery targets and plans.
- Accurate and timely reports and records.
- Positive contribution to planning processes.
- Proven track record of positive student satisfaction.
