Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Knit Technician/Programmer to join our Design & Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled knitwear programmer and technician to play a key role in the development and production of high-quality knitted products within an innovative manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and optimising production-ready programs for Stoll knitting machines while working closely with Design, Product Development, and Production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop knitwear styles using Stoll M1 Plus/Create Plus software, Shima glove machines, and warp knitting machines
Create and prepare machine-ready programming data for sampling and bulk production
Work collaboratively with Design, Product Development, and machine operators to achieve desired specifications
Troubleshoot and optimise knit programs to improve quality, efficiency, and machine performance
Support and oversee prototype sampling, SMS, and bulk production runs
Maintain accurate technical records and follow established development procedures
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the department
About You
We are looking for a candidate who has:
Proven experience in knitwear programming and knitting machine operation
Experience with Stoll knitting machines and M1 Plus/Create Plus software
Good understanding of knitting structures and machine processes
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
Good organisational and communication skills
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
An interest in innovation, craftsmanship, and new technology
