We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our growing Electrical Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Working across industrial, water, and infrastructure sectors, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, oversee commercial performance, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical engineering projects from concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Lead project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and programme delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
- Administer and manage contracts in accordance with NEC3 and NEC4 contract frameworks.
- Monitor project costs, variations, forecasts, and commercial performance.
- Develop and maintain project programmes using Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate internal engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project progress reports, financial updates, and performance metrics.
- Manage procurement activities and subcontractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, environmental, and health & safety procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and framework partners.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing engineering or electrical projects from concept through to completion.
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, programmes, and commercial performance.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Requirements
- Commercial management experience within engineering projects.
- Industrial electrical engineering knowledge and experience.
- Understanding of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and associated control systems.
- Experience delivering projects within water industry frameworks.
- Experience working within the rail sector.
- Knowledge of electrical installation, commissioning, and testing practices.
- Relevant project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
