Full job description

Job Summary

The role

The Housekeeper will be detailed orientated person supporting the reception team in set up, clean down and cleanliness of the reception area, conference rooms and daily operation in the main kitchen.

Hours of work - Monday to Friday

Base hours - 28 hours 45 mins + overtime.

The duties

1. Ensure all conference rooms are set up for scheduled meetings, clean, sanitised, well presented and stocked with refreshments and food as required by the reception team.

2. Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and guests.

3. Remove dirty crockery, transfer to the general kitchen, items to be placed in dishwasher and cycled when full or clean by hand wash if required.

4. Full stock checks every 4 weeks, ensure they do not drop below minimum quantities as agreed, allowing 5 working days for delivery.

5. Ensure all equipment is to standard working correctly, not defective, broken or missing enabling safe work.

6. Undertake domestic duties in main kitchen. Collect crockery that is not brought back after lunch from main office, place in dishwasher. Sanitise tables and surfaces (this is ongoing throughout the shift)

7. Touch point in cleaning in main reception & conference rooms.

8. Clean coffee machine prior to finish at end of day. Sanitise milk flasks. Ensure all associated requirements are fully stocked for the next day.

9. Remove waste from conference rooms, transfer to appropriate kitchen bin. If kitchen bins are full, waste then transferred to the building waste stream on the ground floor.

10. On occasion may be required to work late if networking event is taking place or meetings have run over.

11. Crossover with the evening team, 15 mins window for communication/instruction from the day’s events, cleaning issues etc.

12. Over time available to cover shifts with the evening office team e.g holidays or sickness.

The Housekeeper

1. Well presented with excellent communication skills regarding the role, cross over at the end of the day with the evening team and a personable approach during the day.

2. Ability to work unsupervised & under pressure on occasion.

3. Organised in your work.

4. Maintain a tidy and organised kitchen and store room.

5. Reliable with excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently within scheduled hours.

6. Physical stamina to perform the duties that involve standing, bending, lifting throughout the shift.
