We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team based in Barnard Castle and surrounding villages.
2 Weekly Shift Pattern - Working Alternate Weekends
£13.30 per hour and £0.38 per mile travel allowance.
As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals in their homes. Your primary role will be to help with daily tasks and ensure a comfortable and safe living environment for our Service Users.
Duties include:
· Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care.
· Assisting with moving and handing, mobility and transfers (training provided).
· Meal preparation
· Administering medication.
· Light household duties, washing up, laundry etc.
· Providing companionship to the Service Users during scheduled visits.
· Assisting with shopping, medication collection or social activities.
· Monitoring and reporting any changes in the Service Users condition.
Skills needed:
· Previous experience as a caregiver or home care assistant is preferred but not essential.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Service Users.
· The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
· Compassionate and patient demeanour.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
