Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our Land Rover team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while managing vehicle repairs and maintenance appointments. This role involves the importance of ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and technical understanding. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in fostering customer loyalty and supporting the smooth operation making them aware of our additional services, ordering parts, invoicing and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures, of our service department.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs in a professional manner
Explain repair and maintenance requirements clearly, ensuring customers understand the scope of work
Making customers aware of our additional services or repairs that benefit the customer's vehicle and safety
Schedule appointments efficiently, managing workflow and ordering parts to optimise productivity
Invoicing and handle the transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repairs, and billing information
Liaise with the technical team to communicate customer concerns and ensure timely completion of work
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs
Keep up-to-date with vehicle technology and mechanical knowledge to provide informed advice

Qualifications

Proven experience in customer service or automotive service advisory roles is preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle repairs and communicate effectively with technicians
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour
Ability to upsell services tactfully while prioritising customer needs
Proficiency in sales and warranty payment handling procedures with attention to accuracy and security
Organised with good time-management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential
A professional attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences
