The Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team. The role will involve working across a range of customer sites, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), breakdown support, and contributing to improvement projects.
You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting production performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Provide breakdown support in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist with installation and upgrade projects
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
Essential Criteria
- Time-served apprenticeship with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
- Minimum 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a similar maintenance role
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) training
- Experience within food manufacturing or other fast-paced production environments
- Welding/fabrication experience
- PLC fault-finding experience
