Estimator (Construction)

Kent

£75k-£80k DOE

Company

A main contractor established in the 1990’s working throughout London and the Home Counties areas the contractor now boasts a turnover of approx. £40m per annum. They have an enviable client list and work is mostly refurbishment contracts although some new build and design and build projects are undertaken. Values can range from £100k to £10m and projects are within the education, health, commercial and high-spec residential sectors. The company are financially secure and continue to grow following a structured growth plan that has seen a number of successful hires in the past 18 months adding knowledge and success to the business.

Estimator

This position has become available due to retirement of existing Senior Estimator. You will be joining an experienced and successful commercial team to compile competitive tenders for projects to typically ranging from £1.5m - £3m but can be to £10m+ in value. The position is based in Mid-Kent within close proximity of M20 that provides free on-site parking and close to various amenities.

Requirements:-

· Have a relevant Construction Qualification (highly desirable but not essential)

· A minimum of 5 years experience within a UK main contractor (build)

· Able to compile competitive tenders for projects ranging from £100k to £5m + in value

· Ability to work on own initiative

· Ability to measure accurate quantities from drawings

· Good understanding of commercial issues relating to tenders

· Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word & Adobe

· Knowledge of Estimating software packages

· First class communication skills

· In possession of a full clean UK driving licence

· A stable work history
