Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Flooring Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of flooring surfaces in residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare areas for flooring installation, ensuring precise alignment and fitment
- Remove existing flooring materials safely and efficiently
- Install various types of flooring including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, or carpet according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers to cut, shape, and secure materials
- Operate power tools including saws, drills, and sanders with safety awareness
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, or instructions to ensure accurate installation
- Perform carpentry tasks related to subfloor preparation or repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Experience
- Previous experience in flooring installation is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Valid UK driving licence is beneficial but not essential

Pay: £24,420.00-£40,840.36 per year
