Experienced Road Sweeper Driver / Operator

J. Cupples & Sons Ltd – West Lothian (Covering Scotland)

Full-Time | Excellent Rates of Pay | Overtime, Nights & Weekend Work Available

J. Cupples & Sons Ltd is a well-established and growing road sweeping company operating throughout Scotland. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Road Sweeper Driver / Operator to join our professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has high standards, and wants to work with modern, well-maintained equipment.

The Role

Operate a modern Scania road sweeper safely and professionally.
Carry out daily vehicle and machinery inspections.
Complete routine maintenance, including cleaning and greasing of the vehicle.
Ensure the truck and equipment are kept clean and maintained to a high standard.
Work independently as well as part of a team.
Represent the company professionally on customer sites.
Complete all paperwork and defect reporting accurately.
Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting programme deadlines.
Using lance and gully pipe.
power washing.

Essential Requirements

Previous road sweeper operating experience.
HGV Class 2 licence (Class 1 advantageous).
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
CSCS Card.
Clean driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
Able to work alone using your own initiative.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexible to work days, nights and weekends when required.
