Role: Laboratory Technician

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000

Location: Deeside, CH5

The Opportunity:

Reacta Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join the Quality Control team on a permanent basis. Reacta Healthcare is expanding its GMP laboratory capabilities at its site in Deeside. This role provides an opportunity to work within the laboratories.

Key Accountabilities

Maintain adequate stocks of laboratory standards, chemicals, consumables etc., for the purpose of quality control inspection, sampling, and testing.
Manage the disposal of laboratory waste (samples, chemicals, and solvents).
Carry out the cleaning of glassware and general laboratory good housekeeping activities.
Carry out equipment checks as necessary to ensure that equipment is suitable for use.
Support maintenance of equipment calibration schedules.
Support with administration activities where required.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, applicants need to have the following essential skills and experience:
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH
Mathematical competency (Multiplication, Division, Percentage Calculations)
Preferable Qualifications and Experience
Educated to secondary level or vocational qualifications in a relevant discipline
Previous laboratory and GMP experience
